In her 2001 A Review of Scientific Literature on the Health Benefits of Velvet Antler,
§ IV. Marketing Velvet Antler; Ann Cooney states,
"People aged fifty and above purchase the marketed antler products mainly as a natural remedy for arthritis."

"Remedy" is a strong word. The people who do continue to use EVA must experience some benefit, an element of relief. For those of us who know chronic pain, some help is better than no help.
I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis at age 40 and my doctor had me on Methotrexate and many other medicines [including] injectables, and I would still suffer from flare ups and joint pain. The injectables put me in the hospital twice with pneumonia and pluerisy, which the second time nearly killed me. After nearly 15 years, a neck fusion, a knee replacement and the prospect of another knee and 2 hip replacements, and a snapped thumb ligament, I discovered Liquid Velvet Antler Extract. After a week and a half, I stopped taking the Methotrexate and after 3 years have not looked back. My only RA meds now are the EVA Liquid Velvet extract and Arava. My RA doctor who does not believe in natural remedies is now sold on Liquid Velvet because my flare ups are very few from the 1 - 2 times per month they used to be. I am so happy with this product and have been an advocate to many friends and family members. I hope to be distributing your product in the near future. Thank you Rose Lake Elk Ranch for bringing me relief from a long and painful disease. Yours truly, Karen B.
Cooney goes on to say, "Most of the retailers surveyed identified the reputation of the processor as one of the most important factors determining purchasing decisions."
